These little bantams are SO unusual and weird, that I call them my little goony birds. :-) I got my breeders from a woman who has a large F-1 flock. F-1's are First Generation away from the Silkie / Turken cross, and normally produce red necks or lack of fibromelanin, or hard feathering, just all the stuff you'd find coming in from the Turken, but this werid flock ONLY reproduces extreme long necked Silkie Showgirls with black skin and Silkie feathering. These are also very tiny, none of my breeders weigh more than a pound, the hens average 13-14 ounces, the roos are closer to 15-16 ounces. This is the Showgirl that bred back to a normal Silkie will produce bow ties and larger headpieces as well as more dense Silkie feathering. most Standard Silkies are somewhat larger, so there might be a benefit to using smaller size birds to cross back on.

The hatching eggs for these Showgirls are tiny and fragile and have NOT done well being shipped, so  I quit sending hatching eggs, but I would be happy to send chicks. Every single chick will have a long black neck with either white, platinum, or splash feathering. My project birds are focused on bringing in other colors like partridge and blues.
